Vintage Grace's Podcast

Questions to ponder and discuss.

• What keeps us from believing something, even if we've heard it a 100 times?
• Do we continually refuse to accept, see, and believe in what Jesus is saying?
• What does it look like to listen to the shepherds voice today?

Application:
Every morning ask: Jesus, how do I hear your voice and follow your voice today?

• How valuable are sheep to the shepherd, if he is willing to give up his life for his sheep?
• How valuable are we in the eyes of God, for him to be willing to give up his life for us?
• Highlight each thing Jesus does as a good shepherd.
• How would we have heard this, if we were a Jewish leader at the time?
• What would it take to truly be in their context?

Daily application questions:

1. Which voice do you hear, and choose to listen to?
2. What do you need to tune out, to better hear God's voice?
3. What does it take to daily tune into the Good Shepherd's voice?

Questions to ponder and talk about in your groups.

• When has Christ walked gently along side you in your life?
• Who are you a disciple of if you're honest with yourself?
• What has influence over your life other than Jesus?
• Are there moments in your day/week when you say yes to Jesus and create space to listen to him?
• How could you create more space to walk with Jesus this next week?

Questions to ponder:

1. How does the context of scripture change the meaning of the text?
2. What is John trying to tell us through all the imagery?
3. What are we willing to risk to follow Jesus?
4. What is blinding me from seeing Jesus?
5. What "normal" am I willing to let go of to be closer to Jesus and be more like Him?
6. How do we become more aware of what God is doing around us as we go through our day?

As you go through today and this week, look for the light of the world working all around you.

Ryan and David talk us through the text.
