Arturo’s contributions has been seen, heard and felt by millions culminating with his music winning him Oscars, Grammy’s and Billboard Awards while being one bad man on the trumpet! Vinyl Crisis was lucky to spend time on the airwaves with Scott Spaulding of Amoeba Music. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk to a vinyl buyer and collector who had some great stories to share!

Vinyl Crisis had the wonderful opportunity to sit down and talk music with Michael McFadin, founder of Ubiquity Records. Ubiquity Records is an amazing music label that focuses on funk, rare groove, soul, and hip hop and has issued lots of our favorite LP’s.

Vinyl Crisis interviewed the one and only Billy Cobham, drumming legend. Ever since his breakthrough in the early 1970s-as a founding member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, and as a drummer/leader whose recordings (such as Spectrum) and powerful, complex style of play exerted a strong influence on the course of jazz and jazz-fusion-Billy Cobham has remained a tireless musical explorer. Wesley’s 35-year career includes playing with and arranging for a wide variety of other artists including Ray Charles, Lionel Hampton, Randy Crawford, Vanessa Williams, The SOS Band, Cameo, Van Morrison, Socalled and rappers De La Soul, to name but a few.
