Bail reform in New York is allowing individuals charged with certain crimes to get out of jail with no cash bond, and it apparently comes with farewell presents.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is reportedly handing out free transit passes and cash cards to suspects released after being charged following bail reform. The perks are meant to persuade the suspected criminals to return for their court dates.
