Donna Adelson, accused mastermind in the shooting death of her former son-in-law, Dan Markel,    was arrested at Miami International Airport in an alleged attempt to flee to a non-extradition country. Investigators believe Adelson had Markel killed after a failed push by ex-wife Wendi to move their children to  South Florida, closer to her family.

Donna Adelson is the fifth person charged in the murder-for-hire plot of her former son-in-law, a Florida State University Law Professor and well-known throughout Tallahassee. The first person brought to justice Luis Rivera, agreed to a plea deal. Rivera testifies he and his lifelong friend, Sigfredo Garcia, drove from Miami to Tallahassee to carry out the hit and Garcia was the triggerman. Rivera, once a Latin Kings gang leader, accepted a 19-year prison sentence in exchange for flipping on his close friend.

This week, in Donna Adelson's trial, some of the most dynamic pieces of evidence is the money changing hands and the wiretaps. Mary Hull, from Florida Department of Financial Services, breaks down financial records before and after the murder of Dan Markel. Rivera admits on the stand he received over $33,000 for the hit. Also, the jury hears the feds wiretaps, Charlie and Donna Adelson talk in code and the bump which was orchestrated to trap the co-conspirators into a phone frenzy.

Only twelve days after Rebecca Haro reports her son's kidnapping and claims she was knocked out in a parking lot while changing the 15-month-old's diaper, both parents of Emmanuel Haro are charged with murder.

They are also charged with making a false police report. However, Rebecca, during a jailhouse interview, maintains her story that she was knocked out and her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel, was abducted.

Jake Haro's lawyer, Vincent Hughes, says he doesn't know where the statement that his client stopped cooperating with detectives came from because he continues to offer Haro to investigators.

Hughes also says Jake Haro wants to cooperate with investigators.

The father of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro was pulled out of jail in his orange jumpsuit and taken to a remote area of Moreno Valley and was seen in the field with law enforcement. The department implies that while Jake Haro was at the scene, he was not helping in the search.

Rebecca Haro tells a reporter with the Southern California newsgroup she was aware of Jake's previous child cruelty case; however, he treats her and all the kids great and claims "he's a good dad."

She also tells the newsgroup they married in 2021.

Prosecutors in Riverside County are requesting Rebecca and Jake Haro be held on a $1 million dollar bond.

Jeffrey Epstein's former associate and convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell, makes a shocking claim during a recent interview with the Department of Justice.

She says Epstein told her he had heart problems, and those heart conditions prevented him from regular sexual intercourse. Her statement highly contradicts victim testimony about Epstein's weekly nonconsensual abuse of underage girls.

Maxwell continues in the interview that former President Bill Clinton was her friend, not Jeffrey. 
Epstein’s, and Clinton never received a ‘massage’ in Epstein’s company.When asked if President Trump had done anything inappropriate with masseuses, Maxwell replied, "Absolutely never, in any context."She denies knowing whether masseuses from Mar-a-Lago's spa ended up giving Jeffrey Epstein private massages.When asked if she herself recruited any for Epstein, Maxwell states, "I've never recruited a masseuse from Mar-a-Lago for that, as far as I remember." Maxwell also claims there is no list or little black book of famous people who were provided minors for the purposes of sex trafficking. 

Virginia Guiffre’s family and other Epstein victims have slammed the government’s decision to

Chilling newly released body cam video relives the horror of the murders of four University of Idaho students.

The surviving roommates are seen outside the home with police, giving full details of what happened the night Kaylee Goncalves, Maddie Mogen, Xana Kernoodle, and Ethan Chapin were killed by a lone intruder.

Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen tells Officer Mitch Nunes she heard a person she believed was Kaylee scream that "somebody" was in the house, then heard someone run down from the third floor to Xana's room on the second floor, where she then heard what she called a "commotion."

Mortensen says the sounds of a struggle die down, and she hears an unfamiliar male voice say, "You're going to be fine. I'm going to help you."

After hearing the man saying, "I'm going to help you," Dylan opens the door and sees Bryan Kohberger, describing him to Officer Nunes as "six feet tall, slim build, a black mask, with bushy eyebrows." 

Officers responding to the 911 call from 1122 King Road find the kitchen door ajar. During a walk through the rental house, officers notice blood is smeared on the walls and floors and pooling by their bodies that are on different floors in the house.

Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, a hairstylist, and her police officer boyfriend broke up after dating for nearly a year.

The relationship had been contentious, with both filing protective orders. After the breakup, Diiorio began dating again and turned to Tinder.

During conversations with a match, Diiorio said she wanted her ex dead and asked if he could carry it out, noting that her ex was a Philadelphia police officer.

The Tinder date was a police informant and contacted county prosecutors. Detectives notified Philadelphia police, who then informed the officer and identified him as the target. The officer told investigators he met Diiorio when she cut his hair.

Authorities arrested Diiorio in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, after the informant reported that she offered him $12,000 to kill her ex and his 19-year-old daughter.
