A corrections officer is lucky to be alive after being stabbed 12 times at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center Wednesday night. Five corrections officers in total were attacked in what seemed to be a coordinated attack. The Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union says they been pleading with the DOC for quite some time to improve safety for the officers at the maximum-security prison but “it seems to be falling on deaf ears lately.” MA Sen.
