In this episode we talk to Virgin Active Australia’s Pilates Head Coach, Alice Scott, about her journey with Pilates and the importance of finding your support system, aka your tribe. Alice was introduced to Mat Pilates in her living room as a shy teenager, just 16 years of age. This first instance ignited her burning curiosity to learn more about the practice, leading her to complete four different Pilates training courses, a pathway to a Science Degree and gave her the opportunity to teach overseas. Alice resonates strongly with the ethos of Joseph Pilates, that everyone can enjoy movement no matter your capability, and is a strong believer in providing space to cultivate a willing mindset. Alice is also embracing life as a parent, enjoying the wonders and challenges of raising her two year old son with her partner Miguel.
