Loved ones are still actively seeking answers in the 2009 murders of two Virginia Tech students, Heidi Childs and David Metzler. Heidi and David, both in their sophomore year at VT, were shot and killed between 8:25 p.m. and 10 p.m. on August 26, 2009. Their personal belongings were missing, but their case has seen renewed attention with a $100,000 reward and a dedicated website for tips. Authorities continue to appeal to the community for information that could bring justice to the victims and their families.
