We asked some freelancers to complete the sentence "Thank God I’m Freelancing..."
Here’s what they said.
"I can help now my husband, I can take care of my kids while working at home."
"I’ve become the breadwinner of my family during the pandemic."
"I have a lot of time for my family."
Truly, freelancing has changed their lives for the better.
However, we can’t deny the fact that working from home also has its downsides.
Especially when it comes to family, dating, and relationships.
So how are you going to deal with it?
Let’s find out this Monday, February 8, in our FLIP Chat & Chill (6pm).
It’s not easy to work from especially if you have other chores to do.
Lalo na siguro if you’re a mom of 3.
But I believe it’s fulfilling.
Well, that’s what Mahar said.
"Mahirap yet fulfulling ang maging work-at-home mom. (Yung naalagaan mo ang mga anak mo at kumikita ka at the same time, malaking bagay na sakin.)"
Her family’s main source of income was closed due to the pandemic.
So it’s a big thing that she gets to work from home.
"Nevertheless, nowadays, I am thankful that I have work. Our restaurant is closed which is the major source of our income. I really hope this pandemic ends so everything can be back to normal."
She’s one of our successful freelancers. And I’m proud of her.
And we’ve been asking her for so long to share her journey because we know it’ll inspire many.
You know what.
She finally said YES!!!
Woohoo!
Our very own Mahar will grace our JasSuccess episode.
Usually, people would want to go into freelancing because they no longer like job.
They’re stressed.
They’re tired.
Not to mention that they’re not being paid enough.
But Jeelene is different.
She’s a teacher.
But after she got bored during the quarantine period, she looked for ways to earn more.
Luckily, she found this "life-changing"program. (ehem)
And after applying what she learned...
"More income talaga. Mas malaki pa kinikita ko dito kesa sa teaching honestly, pero minahal ko na talaga ang pagtuturo so feeling ko kahit may offer sa akin na 6 digits hindi ko pa kaya bitawan ang pagtuturo sa ngayon."
And right now, mas worthy na ang pagpupuyat nya.
"dati kasi sa Kdrama at Mobile Legends napupuyat ako, ngayon sa work na."
Be moved by her story which she’ll be sharing.
How did she discover her niche?
Where did she find her client?
PLUS! The G __ and I__ that helped her big time in her freelancing career.
You’re probably heard of a lot of freelancing skills that you can offer.
One of these is graphic design.
And when you talk about it, hindi pwedeng hindi ma-mention ang Canva.
It’s a free graphic design tool that you can use to do a task for your clients.
And there are even successful freelancers who started their career using this tool.
"I started with Canva just recently and as I move forward, I noticed unti-unti ko ng na-i-improve yung mga gawa ko
