With Father's Day coming up, we wanted to take a moment to focus on the virtuous father. There is not as clear of description as there is for women with Proverbs 31, but there are many examples of how men can be virtuous.

We're taking some time to discuss the impact virtue has had in the lives of the ones who have been practicing it for some time.

The virtue of gracious speech

Beauty is all around us in nature. Are you looking?

Gratitude is important, but it should be a habit, not forced by those around us. Gratitude should be a habit and habit require regular use.

Discipleship does not have to be a big planned out event, but it does require intentionality. We should be seizing every opportunity to disciple our children, and that includes the time around the dinner table.

Sibling conflict is going to happen. It's important that when the conflict arises, that we are prepared to lead our children through the conflict.

How do we guide our children to choose their friends wisely? Do we push for our children to have specific friends or do we push them to be the friend they want to have to draw friendships in?

It can be hard when we set out to accomplish something and end up failing or the results don't quite turn out how we expected. How do we respond when things like this happen? How do our children respond? Adaptability is an important skill to have in life.
