After avoiding it for all these years, I, unfortunately, got COVID last week and had to put a complete pause on my business in order to recover the way I needed to. That made me realize the importance of 3 crucial aspects of my business that I want to share with you today.

Before we dive in, I do want to emphasize that this is not a topic to be taken lightly. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to recover quickly, but I know for many of you that is not the case. Whether it’s dealing with long COVID or the loss of a loved one, this is not easy for many people in this community.

The way we talk about our business when we're not trying to sell and what responses we focus on, tell us a lot about how we feel internally. I realized that the way I was talking about my business reflected the insecurities and judgments I had about myself - but I was saying it was all other people. I'm sharing tangible examples of how I shifted this and what it taught me in today's episode.

I used to panic at the thought that someone would look at me and think “wow, she does NOT have her ish together.” and sometimes the fear creeps up. It comes up when I think about what my office looks like, how old I am, or how much I have left to learn.

But the thing that has been game-changing for me has been admitting wholeheartedly “I don’t have my sh*t together” and feeling liberated from alllllll the pressures that come with trying to look like I do.

In this episode I share with you what has transformed my thinking around this, why I hate the advice “fake it till you make it” and how going from making “look at me” content to making “come with me” content made all the difference.
