Some regular listeners to our little show will realise that I’ve been shifting the schedules around and making vague excuses in recent episodes because plans have had to change due to illness, so it’s with great joy that we have WARREN CUMMINGS back this week after his latest battle with the Covids.

Because there hadn’t been much opportunity for him to prepare anything for this programme, I decided to use another of those programme ideas that has been hanging around the corridors of VOS HQ for a while now, and simply consult my long, long list (Oh…! So very long!) of possible show topics and try and bung a few at him at random to see what sort of conversation they inspired, and if they created ten minute bursts of inspiration, or nothing at all, or led to a whole hour just talking about the one item, it would make for an interesting show, and it’s definitely a format we’ll be coming back to again.

It’s kind of like a television smorgasbord, or perhaps a Pot Luck programme, or one of those Lucky Dips which never win you anything, although, in the end, we’ll probably call it TV Bingo, and this week your ears are definitely the winners as we moved from the recent release of NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR to the nature of reality, the experience of watching television in the past and present, and old-style children’s TV, amongst other things.
