We now begin Peter's Epistles which were written during Nero’s later years of persecution of believers after AD 67 or 68, 2 Peter around 69 before the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus.

Peter begins his words of Admonition and Encourage after the long persecution during Nero and just before the Roman General Titus destruction of Jerusalem. Peter is older now and many of his peers are gone to be with the Lord. The War against the church in the empire has blazed a trail of blood, martyrdom, and faith. There can be no doubt here that the Aged Apostle was beloved writing to those around the empire of Rome wanted to give words that would help them in these times.
