As Hangouts on Air'd demise has been announced by Google, we talk again to Jitsi Meet (formerly SIP Communicator) founder Emil Ivov. Jitsi Meet was eventually acquired by Atlassian ("HipChat") and then 8x8. From London, Emil talks about his path and that of Jitsi. Emil showed plenty of vision, and we've been friends for many years as the VUC worked with the team while they developed lots of new features. Currently, we plan to use it in future video sessions.

This is where we check out Jitsi Meet again. It worked well and has several new useful features added since we last used it. It's open source, free and may replace Hangouts on Air, the demise of which Google has announced in their blog.

Brief discussion of the big 5G opening in the UK, first announced by BBC, then deemed a fail.

About 12 minutes in is a brief (~20 minutes) infomercial about CommCon UK. Sounds like a great event this June the the UK.
