Just because it’s the final episode, doesn’t mean we’re slowing down the pace! Phil and Dawn are heading out on some more adventurous activities around the islands. Including a horse and carriage ride through the historic ex-capital city of Malta, M’dina and neighbouring Rabat. After a quick stop for a local delicacy for lunch, they are off out again for a Rolling Geeks tour around the historic Three Cities area.

This time it’s all about food and drink. We join Phil and Dawn as they enjoy a Gozo picnic by the blue waters of the med, sample a local restaurant that features in the Michelin Guide, step out into the piazza in Valletta to enjoy Café Cordina and take a tour of a specialist Maltese vineyard – before taking an opportunity to try the produce of course!

After hopping off the tuk-tuk Phil and Dawn make their way down to the inland sea at Dwerja Bay and continue their tour of the best the Gozo coast has to offer at Mixta Cave. Then we hop over to Malta and take the Barrakka lift to the Upper Barrakka Gardens for views out across Malta’s natural harbour.

We start with a trip to St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, Malta. With an unassuming exterior, the decoration of the interior takes your breath away – and much to Phil’s delight, it’s home to an in-situ Caravaggio.

Then we make our way  to the home of a Maltese noble family for a look around this living museum that’s full of history and tradition and a surprise addition to the courtyard. And as if that wasn’t enough, Phil and Dawn take a visit to a temple that is older than Stonehenge.
