This podcast covers starts in Gardiner Montana where you can grab a cheese burger at the place that was one of the inspirations for Jimmy Buffet to write the song Cheeseburger In Paradise. Then on the NEW road after the 2022 floods to Mammoth Hot Springs and we start at the iconic stone entry gate made famous by Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders, pass a few cars on the way through the gate and save a LOT of time and then onto Tower Junction. We also discuss how the Roaring Springs Swimming Area is now gone and how the guidebook has all the places you CAN go Swimming and Hot Potting in the Park.
This 18 mile section of road is also known as Bear Alley and is the best place to see black bears in the park and I will tell you when is the best places to see them and also give you a couple of other options just in case they are not on the main road.
I also tell you about a great place to see a bear out in the backcountry which is a once in a lifetime opportunity for your trip to Yellowstone on a great trail and a place where you can see a Pika which looks like Mickey Mouse.
And even if you get shut out seeing a bear in Yellowstone and your kids are freaking out to see a bear, I tell you how to get them off your back with a 100% guaranteed way to see, not only bear, but wolves, eagles and even thrown in some Otters for good measure.
And as usual, I throw in a couple of stories for you guys as you drive along and a good lesson for those newbies to park off the roads.
