This podcast is an introduction to Explore Yellowstone Like a Local for all those out there who are deciding if they want to buy a Guidebook and start listening to the Podcasts. 

I first discuss how simple it is to use and understand the guidebook and how you don't have to read the entire guidebook, just the chapters that cover the certain things that you want to do on your Yellowstone vacation. We then cover how the Guidebook saves you TIME and MONEY and tell you some stories that past visitors sent us after they got home of how much Money and Time they saved by following my tips and suggestions. 

I then go over my families history in the area which dates back to at least 1919 when my Grandfather started bringing my dad and his two brothers to the area and whose love of Yellowstone was passed on from generation to generation. I follow that up with a lot of big additions and fun things the guidebook has in it besides getting you to the best of the best in both Yellowstone and Grand Teton including monthly drawings for prizes and gift certificates you can use on your Yellowstone vacation. 

I finally read you guys an excerpt from the guidebook which gives you a taste of how the guidebook is written when telling you about some of the wonderful areas that I have been visiting my whole life and which now the guidebook gets you to as well.

In this podcast, I cover 3 great roads that are all shown on the Yellowstone park map they hand you when you go through the gate. However, these roads skirt the Northern and then Southern Boundaries of Yellowstone Park and hardly anyone even knows they exist but they all offer some great and seldom seen sections of roads inside Yellowstone Park as well as just outside it's Western Boundary. 

We cover all the great things to see from West Yellowstone north on 191 which actually goes inside the park without any fees or traffic and a suggested 55MPH speed limit which gets you to some of the best hiking spots in the park as well as Big Sky and then I tell you about the best of Bozeman including where they film scenes from the show Yellowstone with Kevins Costner. 

We then hit 287 as it exits Yellowstone Park and I get you to the best breakfast in the US and then along the driving tour of the worst natural disaster to ever hit the US where you will be driving on the top of 28 bodies under the road. 

We then hit the Flagg Ranch Road which runs from Ashton Idaho right along the souther boundary of Yellowstone Park all the way to the South Entry gate. We hit the fantastic Bechler area which is my favorite part of Yellowstone as well as discussing the Zone Of Death where you can (theoretically I hope) commit murder and actually get away with it! 

Its all big fun on some seldom seen roads both inside and right outside Yellowstone Park that get you to some of the best spots in the Worlds First National Park.  

This Podcast covers all the waterfalls in Yellowstone Park with a bit of interesting history and fun stories thrown in as usual.

We start by covering each river located in the park and all the waterfalls you can find on each of them. We then cover the few you can find in Grand Teton as well as the all the waterfalls you can find in the seldom seen Bechler area of Yellowstone which is called Cascade Corner as it is home to nearly half of the nearly 300 waterfalls located within the park boundaries. 

We also cover Big Springs which was almost included inside Yellowstone park back in the day.  

This podcast covers how the Guidebook tells you everything you need to know about how to watch all the geysers go off in this one of a kind area which is home to more geysers than the rest of the world combined. 

We cover all the major geysers in this one of a kind area and how the guidebook easily gets you to them all by teaching  you to "work the geyser basin".  

You will hear how the guidebook gets you to the best spot to watch Old Faithful from but far more importantly, it gets you to Riverside, Castle, Daisy and the largest predictable geyser on earth-Grand and gets you to these great geysers at the correct time. And I explain how Grand is not to be missed during any vacation to Yellowstone. We also stop by Morning Glory Pool and even make a stop at the seldom seen Artemesia Geyser as well as Great Fountain which graced the cover on the park map for decades. 

By the end of the day, you will have seen every geyser in the largest collection of geysers on the planet and also visited Lone Star and Great Fountain and spent one glorious day seeing the best geysers found anywhere on earth simply by following the Geyser Day Chapter in the Guidebook. 

This podcast starts at the rather boring Tower Junction which is home to the rather fun Chuckwagon Dinner that starts at the Roosevelt Stables. 

We then drive through the Narrows on the way to Tower Falls and I tell you how to not only see the falls but about the crazy boulder that used to sit it's summit and then how to access the Yellowstone River from the viewing platform that hardly anyone knows about in the guidebook. 

We then continue along the North Loop and summit Mount Washburn and I tell you where NOT to hike as well as where you SHOULD hike in this area on a great hike the a is one of the best for small kids. 

And as usual, I throw in a couple of short stories about sleeping with an Elk and skateboarding down Dunraven Pass before I tell you where you can find the elusive Moose like they were let out of a pen in the evening.   

This podcast covers the section of road from the South Gate of Yellowstone Park all the way down to Jackson Hole. We will drive down the far side of the Yellowstone Volcano then have breakfast with a great view of the Tetons. 

We then get to the spot to take a picture from the most photographed view of the Tetons. Then we visit Jenny Lake and I tell you how to get right down into the waters of this gorgeous lake without any people around then we ride the ferry boat to Inspiration Point. 

Then we will hike right into the teeth of the Grand Tetons and hear a great story about Lake Solitude and how it plays an important part of my families history in the area even before the Grand Teton's were named a national park. 

We then cover my three favorite hikes in the upper Teton Range and I also tell you where NOT to hike. 

We finish off this great day with my favorite stop which will warm your heart. Then we go to the best spot to find the elusive Bullwinkle and then ride the gondola at the ski area up to a high mountain bistro. 

This podcast covers all the fun things you can do just outside of Grand Teton and Yellowstone parks. There is a reason that hardly any of the locals from West, Jackson or Big Sky ever go into the parks and the reason for that is that there is a TON of really fun and exiting things to do right outside the parks boundaries that are NOT allowed inside the parks. 

We cover how West Yellowstone is the Fly Fishing capital of the world and why movie stars, sports stars, planes full of Russians and now you flock to West Yellowstone to go fly fishing and you might catch up to 75 trout on your first day. 

We then cover where to rent and ride ATV's including the new and very safe side by side units on the best trails in the US right outside YNP. I then tell you how you can ride on the unbelievable Idaho Dunes where you can ride a bad ass unit up and down 500' tall sand dunes on one of the largest dune complexes in the world that are only an hours drive from both Jackson Hole and West Yellowstone. 

Then we jump on a mountain bike and ride along the wildflower strewn meadows of the easy Rendezvous Trail right in West Yellowstone then hit the CDT Trial to ride in what looks like a picture postcard. We also cover and advanced mountain biking tours to the very seldom seen Goose and Otter Lakes and how I can help you get on trails suited to your groups abilities no matter who is riding with you. 

We then go over the best places to white water raft, kayak and SUP.  We cover the  Gallatin River where they filmed the movie A River Runs Through It with Brad Pitt and its 30 super fun  named rapids with an end of the day jump off the Presidents Bridge. As well as the Bear Trap Canyon which is one of the top 10 1 day floats in the US  where you will run the world famous Kitchen Sink Rapids. 

We discuss padding your own SUP or kayak on the calm turquoise waters of a lake which look like you are in the Caribbean or down a river where you might see a moose or two up close. We then cover boating on Lake Hebgen where you can find a couple rope swings to get wet on a warm day or catch a record trout on Lake Henrys. 

And we cover the wonderful Big Sky area and all it has to offer including golf for the boys and a spa day for the girls while the kids enjoy hunting for gold or riding the Zip Lines. We finish off the podcast rising Razors on 400' tall sand dunes with are located right outside the boundaries of both Yellowstone and Grand Teton. 

This podcast covers 19 great  places that you can swim, get in a hot pot, get under a huge waterfall and swim in Yellowstone Park and you can visit these spots whenever the park is open. I get you to the some of the most fantastic swimming and hot potting spots that can't be found anywhere else on earth. 

We cover the stupidly popular Firehole swimming area near Madison Junction which USED to be a great local place to swim but is now simply overrun with hundreds of people every day all day long but has been closed for the last few years and why it might stay closed from here on out. By visiting MY places, you can have the entire place to yourself for as long as you want them. 

I then tell you where you can get right into and underneath 4 huge waterfalls and have their thermally heated water pouring all over you. And where you can soak in numerous hot pots throughout the park. 

I also cover the best and safest spot to take small kids who want to take a dip while they are on their Yellowstone vacation.
