He is currently the User Research Manager at Vodafone UK and has worked on improving the digital experience of companies like Sony, the BBC, and Emirates. He is the author of Universal UX: Building Multicultural Experience, a book on the specialized practices and implementations of UX across the globe. He was the host and curator of the Localisation Processes Forum at LocWorld for five years and is a regular speaker at international UX conferences like UXPA. He also devotes his time to mentor and tutor young UX students and practitioners at Kingston University in London. A multidisciplinarian interested in topics ranging from Agile to persuasion design, he is passionate about the development of User Experience as an autonomous field and understanding the depth of the relationship between the human mind, reality, and digital technology.

With over ten years of experience in the Localization industry, Emil D. Atanassov is a global expert with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Currently Vice-President Internationalization at ServiceNow, he provides a meaningful voice to the internationalization strategy and execution for the cloud enterprise software organization. Skilled in Language Development, Translation, Technical Documentation, and Communication, he is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

With a background in languages, Anne-Sophie joined the company in 2018 where she single-handedly built the Localization Program from scratch. Three years down the line, people in 12 different countries can get yummy food delivered at their doorstep. And this is just the beginning.

In January of this year, Anne-Sophie became the 2020 “Localization process innovator of the year for the USA” at the 9th Process Innovation Award event.

Patrick Kelly began his IT career in software development at Lotus. He then joined GeCAP as Localization Manager and became one of Vistatec’s founding members when GeCAP was acquired in 1997. Patrick is Chief Commercial Officer at Vistatec and is responsible for the commercial viability of our business solutions.

Thomas Murray joined Vistatec in 2000 and was appointed Chief Executive officer in 2005. An industry veteran, he held a number of key positions within ITP and SDL in both Europe and Asia prior to joining Vistatec. As CEO Thomas is responsible for the overall strategy of the Vistatec organization.

Born in Quebec of German immigrant parents, Kathrin grew up fluent in German, French, and English. She holds degrees in Communications Studies and Linguistics from the University of Ottawa, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Humboldt Universität in Berlin. Now based in Toronto, she is a Co-Founder of Women in Localization Eastern Canada (WLEC). She is also a member of the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) and of The Global Chamber.
