Deelaruze is a London-based street artist, sticker artist, and the force behind THEEZ ARE OUR STREETZ, a series that goes way beyond simply showing pictures of stickers. Her books tell the stories behind the artists, the art, and the people putting their work into the streets.

THEEZ ARE OUR STREETZ — VOLUME 3 features 45 sticker artists from around the world, bringing together artists from places including Sweden, the USA, Chile, France, Germany, Finland, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Australia and more. The book includes stories about creativity, resilience, hope and the idea of art as a form of therapy.

And there’s a cool Visual Noise connection…

Canadian sticker artist catchoo, who appeared on Visual Noise: Walls Talk Episode 7, is one of the artists featured in Volume 3! Deelaruze’s book has also been described as bringing together sticker artists from roughly a dozen countries, showing just how international the sticker scene has become.

Deelaruze isn’t just documenting other artists. Her own work crosses between street art, stickers, drawings and mixed media. Her earlier works include pieces made with markers, watercolour and mixed media, including My Soul When I Am With You, Haifa, Anachi and I Will See It When I Believe It.

She’s also created work around the iconic history of stickers and street art. One of her projects, “Emergency on Planet Earth,” was connected to a PEEL magazine tribute to Shepard Fairey’s famous early sticker work.

This episode is especially cool because Deelaruze isn’t just making street art — she’s helping preserve the history and stories of the people making it.

This episode we’re talking STICKERS, SLAPS & TORONTO STREET ART with Toronto sticker artist Rade — aka @radekfu!

Rade has been making his mark in Toronto’s sticker scene, putting his work out on the streets and becoming part of the city’s ever-growing slap culture. His work has been spotted around Toronto alongside other local sticker artists, and he’s been involved in some cool collaborations within the scene.

One thing that caught our attention is Rade’s collaboration with @askwhy.to, including the ASKFU slap-sticker collab. His work has also been featured in Toronto street-art posts and sticker meetups, showing just how connected he is to the local sticker community.

And there’s a cool connection to the Visual Noise family too — Urban Ninja has posted about Rade’s silk-screen slaps, giving us another reason to sit down and talk about the Toronto sticker game.

Visual Noise: Walls Talk is back with Episode 18, and this time TRP613 and Urban Ninja head north to Sweden to talk with TERP (@terpstreetart) — a veteran of the international sticker art scene from Umeå, northern Sweden.

TERP has been creating street art since around 2000, originally working with stickers, stencils and paste-ups before eventually focusing heavily on stickers. For TERP, the sticker isn't just a piece of art — it's a way of interacting with the city and challenging the constant stream of advertising and commercial imagery that surrounds us.

His approach to sticker art is particularly interesting because he sees stickers as a kind of direct democracy. They're inexpensive, easy to put up, and just as importantly, they're easy to remove. That temporary quality gives the work a different relationship with public space than traditional murals or permanent installations.

TERP's artwork ranges from funny and colourful designs to darker, strange and surreal imagery. One example documented in Stockholm features a beautifully detailed, vintage-style pineapple illustration, while another TERP sticker uses a creepy vintage family scene with a horror/zombie twist. His work often has that distinctive mixture of old-school imagery, humour and weirdness that makes a sticker stand out when you encounter it on the street.

Another huge part of TERP's career is collaboration. He's been deeply involved in sticker trades and has created dozens of collaborative designs with artists from around the world. His iconic Molotov imagery frequently gets incorporated into collaborations with other artists, creating a constantly evolving collection of TERP pieces.

Being based in Umeå, a smaller city in northern Sweden, also played an important role in his development. TERP used the internet and international sticker trades to connect with artists outside Sweden and bring an international sticker culture back to his own city — helping introduce a medium that wasn't particularly common there when he started.

His reach has definitely gone beyond Sweden. TERP was included in the STICKERS exhibition and reference book documenting hundreds of sticker artists from around the world, and he has participated in international street-art events, including the 2024 Zagreb Street Art Festival, where artists from 44 countries were represented.

TERP was also recognized as the World Wide Street Sticker Award 2023 Artist of the Year, another indication of the impact he's had on the international sticker community.

In Episode 18, TRP613 and Urban Ninja get into TERP's history, his creative process, sticker trading, collaborations, the evolution of his art, and what it's like building an international network of artists through something as simple — and powerful — as a sticker.

On Episode 17 of Visual Noise: Walls Talk, hosts TRP613 and Urban Ninja head to Cologne, Germany, to talk with the strange and fascinating creative world of Greentaxonomy.

Greentaxonomy is a German street artist and digital artist known for creating creepy, unusual hybrid organisms that blur the boundaries between plants, animals and imagined life forms. Their work moves between digital art, sticker art and street art, often using green imagery and surreal combinations that feel equal parts scientific, organic and beautifully unsettling.

The artist has been active in the street-art scene in and around Cologne and has appeared internationally, including through collaborations and street-art projects. Greentaxonomy has also been documented as collaborating with fellow street artists, including Planet Selfie, and their work has been spotted as part of the wider European street-art community.

A major part of the conversation is sure to explore Greentaxonomy’s involvement in the #nohatefamily movement. The project was created by a group of Cologne street artists in 2018 as a creative response to hatred in society, using artist-designed stickers, collages and international participation to promote love, diversity and solidarity. Greentaxonomy was one of the founding artists involved in developing the project.

TRP613 and Urban Ninja dig into the artist’s creative process, the strange world of “digital taxidermy,” sticker culture, the evolution of an idea from the screen to the street, and the importance of connecting artists across countries and communities.

Bearded Prof – The Man Connecting Toronto's Street Art Community

RXSKULLS – Portland's Master of the Skull

This week on Visual Noise: Walls Talk, hosts TRP613 and Urban Ninja head to Portland, Oregon to sit down with one of the most recognizable names in the global sticker scene—RXSKULLS.

For more than a decade, RXSKULLS has been covering streets around the world with his instantly recognizable skull design. What started as a single photograph of a human skull taken while studying graphic design in London evolved into hundreds of unique hand-crafted variations that have become iconic throughout the international street art community.

But there's a much deeper story behind the name. "RX" isn't just a cool tag—it was born from a very personal experience. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, combined with a family history of cancer and his fascination with mortality, he created the RXSKULLS identity as a way to process those experiences. The name also reflects his complicated relationship with prescription medication and the lasting impact it had on his life and art.

Unlike many artists who outsource production, RXSKULLS is obsessed with craftsmanship. Every design begins as a hand-carved linoleum block before being transformed into screen prints. His stickers are screen printed, hand cut, and produced in his own print shop, earning him the nickname of a true "adhesive enthusiast." The DIY process has become just as important as the artwork itself.
