Visualizing the “You” You Want to Be with Natalie Ledwell | The Power House 043

Listen Later

Natalie Ledwell is a best-selling author, host of the Inspiration Show, Co-host of the cable TV show Wake Up, and Co-founder of Mind Movies—which is an absolutely fantastic platform that helps guide you in visualizing and achieving the life you want. It's a hugely successful and revolutionary personal development company that has reached over 4 million people worldwide. Natalie is currently working on her brand-new groundbreaking program entitled Self-growth Studies, which is a powerful children's curriculum designed to help youth from ages 15-18 in establishing a strong foundation that will give them life-affirming tools, skills, and habits for the rest of their lives. The pilot program is being used in Australia and New Zealand currently with plans to spread to other education systems around the world this year.

Natalie admits that she has always been a Power House—however, at the age of 45 she found herself lacking the shine she wanted to exude. She felt invisible and shadowed by a relationship that saw her playing a supporting role instead of one of leadership. After exiting that relationship, she realized instead of mulling over “Who am I?” she could change the equation to be “Who do I want to be?” She was hiding out in her relationship, and with her scapegoat removed, she was the only thing holding herself back—it was up to her to step into the life and leadership roles she wanted.

Mind Movies are basically the video version of a vision board. It’s a movie you create with photos, videos, and music. They include affirmations that describe the future you want to create, and when paired with the visuals and audio that elicit emotion in you—that’s when you stop being a character in the movie and actually enter it. All your senses come into play when you visualize. You can feel warmth, touch, smell and hear where you want to be. For kids, this can be a formative habit that sets them down a road to discover and step into the best versions of themselves from an early age. But of course it’s not limited to kids—forming a habit of visualizing your future keeps you on the path towards it.
