Guest Dr. Safia S. Khan, M.D. provides information on ways to improve sleep and when to get help.
She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. A specialist in sleep disorders, she serves as Assistant Program Director of the UTSW Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program, as well as its Director of Didactics.
Dr. Kahn received advanced training in sleep medicine through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Khan’s clinical and research interests include obesity, sleep disorders, mental health disorders in women, and the prevention and early detection of these disorders. Other interests include sleep-related movement and breathing disorders, medical education, and community health.
