For Week 2 of our series 'The Story We Live In' we will focus on how Jesus was the fulfilment of God in making all things new. Jesus brought the reality of God’s kingdom to us by his life, death and resurrection.

It's Week 1 of our brand new series "The Story We Live In". Today we will discuss how all things were distorted by sin and how God’s intent was for all creation to be in perfect union with him. Part of what we will do in this message is look at the book ends of God’s creation of all things new in Revelation.

The word Sabbath comes from the Hebrew word that means “to stop”. It’s a day where we stop working, stop wanting, stop worrying, just stop. Sabbath is the intentional pause in the restlessness of the hustle. We reach our full potential within the confines of sabbath because it brings us to a centre life in Jesus.

Noise is the one constant that will distract us from love, joy, and peace. To truly know the steps and life of Jesus we must practice a new rhythm of silence. It's in our silence where we are formed to know and hear his leading. Abiding in him will happen when we are silent in the Father's presence.

When you think about a rule for life you think about that one thing that you build your life on. The ancients rule for life was this idea that our lives are propped up in Jesus. It’s the faith that is grounded in the fertile soil that produces fruit. We will explore Galatians 4:19

There are moments when God by His Spirit speaks directly at us through others. What it takes is our own desire to know his voice and when He speaks through others it’s as if the words are infused with the power of God. Romans 12 speaks to the heart of being connect and when we are connected God can speak and move.

God uses His word to speak into your lives. When we understand that this book is unlike any other book, we will begin to let it get into us. The writer of Hebrews reveals that it’s alive and powerful and has the ability to cut deep into your very being.

Audible God series

We will look at the different ways that God speaks to us: creation, scripture and others. We all long to hear God speak. But in our desire to have him speak to us, we often miss out because we are looking in the wrong places. We will help people see that He is audible in the ordinary patterns of life.

June 14:  Does God Speak Through Creation

When we look at the wonder of creation from a Christian World view you begin to understand that all of creation speaks to the existence of God. The Psalmist David speaks to the wonder of this in Psalm 19 as he reveals how creation displays God’s craftsmanship.
