Since March 2024, McVeigh has been crowned an NBL Champion, NBL Finals MVP, selected in the Boomers extended squad for the selection camp and then making the final 12 to become an Australian Olympian, playing against the like of Lebron James and Nikola Jokic, before then inking a landmark deal with Houston Rockets in the NBA. It’s safe to say McVeigh has had a whirlwind few months. Speaking for the first time since the Olympics, he recaps his incredible rise to stardom and what has transpired over the journey, exploring themes of resilience, human connection, mindfulness and authenticity.
