WE'VE MADE IT!!!!

It's time for No.1...top of the Horror list and it's a big one as we discuss the 1973 supernatural horror classic "The Exorcist". Based on the 1971 William Peter Blatty novel we see the story of a young girl being possessed by a demonic possession and her mother's attempt to save her through an exorcism by two Catholic priests. Grab your popcorn and a cushion to hide behind as we finally reach the top of our Horror Watchlist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We thought We reached the top but not quite! We realised that we’d nearly finished the list without including horror juggernaut ‘It’, the 2017 adaptation of the Stephen King classic. Through Bill Skaragard we are introduced to the terrifying drain dwelling clown Pennywise who is terrorising seven outcast children (The Losers Club) in Derry, Maine. We've reached No.2 in our list and Heeeeeeere's Johnny! We discuss the 1980 Stanley Kubrick adaptation of the Stephen King novel, "The Shining" starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. Writer Jack Torrance takes on a role as off season caretaker for The Outlook Hotel. As Jack's sanity deteriorates his son Danny's psychic abilities tells us that there's a lot more to the hotel than meets the eye. Tune in for this horror classic and heed the warning...REDRUM REDRUM!!!

We've reached No. 3 and it's time to brace yourself as it's the infamous 1974 horror "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" The story follows a group of young friends visiting an old homestead but the journey comes a cropper when they foolishly pick up a hitchhiker. In the first of what was to become a big franchise we meet horror staple Leatherface. Just when we thought we were out of the woods....this film comes along!!!

It's time to take a shower as we reach No. 4 in our list with the 1960 black and white Hitchcock classic "Psycho". Starring Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins in iconic roles we see on the run embezzler Marion as she encounters shy motel proprietor Norman Bates. Tune in and remember that a boy's best friend is his mother!

We've reached No. 5 in our list and the second time we have a sequel in our list. This episode we are back out in space as we discuss the science fiction action "Aliens" from 1986. Legendary Sigourney Weaver is back as Ellen Ripley who is the sole survivor of the previous alien attack and has now been persuaded to voyage out again. Tune in to find out how they mostly come at night...mostly!

We've reached No.6 and we're heading to out to space for the 1979 sci-fi horror classic "Alien". The film follows the crew of commercial space tag, "Nostromo" who find themselves up against an aggressive extra-terrestrial loose within their vessel. The film created the iconic film character Ellen Ripley played by the legendary Sigourney Weaver. Join us and remember that..... in space no one can hear you scream!!!

We've reached No.7 on our list which finds us watching Mr. Kurt Russell in the 1982 sci-fi horror "The Thing". Directed by John Carpenter the action takes place in Antarctica as a group of researchers encounter an extra terrestrial life form "The Thing" that assimilate and imitates other organisms. Paranoia and conflict take over the group as they realise they can't trust anyone! Tune in this episode to find our who "Does the thing!!!"

This episode we travel back to 1968 to discuss the Roman Polanski psychological horror "Rosemary's Baby" starring Mia Farrow and Ruth Gordon. Newlywed Rosemary has moved to Manhattan and become pregnant, things seem to be going well until she meets the over enthusiastic neighbours. Brace yourself for this classic and remember..."I can't hear you, you're in Dubrovnik!"

Spooky Season arrives early this year as we reach No. 9 in our list for the 1978 slasher film classic "Halloween", directed by John Carpenter and starring the iconic Jamie Lee Curtis in her debut film. The film brings us to Halloween night in Haddonfield, Illinois as convicted murderer Mike Myers goes on the loose. This was the start of what a became a big franchise of 13 films. So grab your pumpkin and tune in!
