In this episode, I bring on friend of mine, Linda Kim (Passionate Salsa Dancer and Mom) and we dive into her perspective as a Korean American. Growing up in a household not talking about sex, first experience losing her virginity, and her experience talking to her daughter about sex.

Questions that come up during the interview include:

- at what age is appropriate to talk about sex?

- how can we learn from our past experiences in talking about sex to future generations?

- how can salsa dancing bring more sensuality into our lives?

In this episode, I bring on special guest Nicole "ThePole" (Professional Pole Dancer, Life and Fitness Coach) and we talk all about pole dancing. Dispelling some of the myths around pole dancing, how it has brought more femininity and sensuality into her life and the lives of students she teaches, and how it's an all around great workout. 

Nicole Williams aka Nicole "The Pole" had a vision. She believed pole dance could be a powerful movement for women and for fitness. In 2008 she opened Allure Dance and Fitness, one of LA’s pioneer pole studios. Nicole excels as an instructor because she connects with her students, breaks down moves and most of all – makes it FUN! She reminds us if we keep a positive mindset and “Can Do” attitude anything is possible.

• Spermicide, bactericides, glycerin, benzyl alcohol
• Benzocaine
• Chlorhexidine (found in KY jelly)
• Parabens
• Propylene glycol
• Latex

Other common lubes with many ingredients that have mild to moderate irritation (KY Jelly, Astroglide)

Water based

• Used universally in any activity
• Safe to use with condoms (latex or non-latex
• Safe to use with toys

Ex: sylk, bella Aqua d’amore

Silicone based

• Think silky
• Generally lasts longer
• Not good for silicone toys
• Generally for more sensitive skin

Ex: uberlube, sliquid (certain types)

Hybrid (water and silicone based)

Oil based

• Can be used during sex and massage oil
• Should not be used with condoms

Egg Whisperer: Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh

In this episode, I bring on Thea Monyee (Marriage and Family Therapist and poet) and we have a great talk on the how to access more joy and pleasure in our lives by redefining sex and sexual pleasure. In many communities, including the black community, religion, culture, and history has defined how we as women see sexual pleasure and we discuss the ways to redefine it. 

Thea Monyeé is an accomplished self identified Black Woman Creative with credits including appearances on HBO, BET, and TV One, performances at the legendary Ford Amphitheater and House of Blues in Los Angeles, countless college tours, and commissions to perform for the NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and other national organizations. Thea Monyee´'s unapologetic work stems from her unwavering passion to healing and her belief that true healing can only occur in a liberated and non-oppressive society.  Monyeé is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Los Angeles area.
