The White House suggested Tuesday that if social distancing measures continue to be followed, between 100 to 240 thousand people in the U.S. will die.  President Trump at Tuesday’s White House briefing, projected that if social distancing measures had been put in place across the country, between 1 and a half million to 2.2 million people would have died.

The U.S. state of New York has passed the somber milestone of 1,000 coronavirus deaths, while governments across the world instituted or extended new lockdowns to try to blunt the effects of the outbreak that have affected over 724,000.
