VOC Nation Wrestling Network

Coming to you LIVE every Monday night, The Late Shift with your host, Steven Bell, recaps the just ended episode of Monday Night Raw as well as discusses all the hot topics in the world of professional wrestling. A comprehensive recap of everything that went down on the show, The Late Shift is also full of opinions, unrepentant fandom and the occasional rant that can only come from someone who genuinely loves the professional wrestling business. Having been a fan of the business for 30+ years and a contributor to Lords of Pain for over 14, your host, Steven, certainly fits that bill.

Presented BY a fan, FOR the fans, this isn't a show where you'll be told what to think. It is, however, a show where you'll be encouraged to think for yourself. Or to just yell at Steve because he thinks something stupid. Whatever works.

So join in here LIVE every Monday night after Raw to have some fun and talk some wrestling on The Late Shift with Steven Bell!

The Late Shift is presented live and uncensored and contains adult language. The views expressed on this show in no way reflect those of Lords of Pain or Lords of Pain Radio. Listener discretion is advised.

On this W2M episode, we headline with our NXT Takeover: The End Review, what did we like? What do we think about the results? What matches stood out? What’s next for NXT after this? Is it any clearer who could be called up for the ensuing brand extension? We also have our final rating for the show here as well. There’s also been a lot of talk about the Full Sail University crowd and that they are detrimental to the shows? Do we agree or disagree with that assessment? We try to answer all of these questions in our review.

Then we get into the Wrestling News with “Quick HIts” talking about Triple H’s comments from the NXT Conference Call and our thoughts on the Breaking Ground Reloaded show. We also discuss Tommy End, Moose, and Roderick Strong possibly going to WWE, the CMLL Grand Prix participants, Triple H meeting with Bruce Tharpe, and even a lady that went a little crazy at an indie event and more.

We get into Lucha Underground and finally, we talk about the go-home Impact Wrestling episode that leads into our TNA Slammiversary Preview, which include our predictions on the show. Then we end things with our W2M Power Rankings as well.

We're joined by Alex Harrison and Attitude Of Aggression's David and The Gator all making their debut as we discuss NXT Takeover: The End, TNA Slammiversary and this past week on Raw. Plus All 3 guests take on The Phoenix, Evan "Money" Makeba and Roxxie Toxxic in our trivia!

You would think there wasn’t some big event happening in less than a week with all of these leaks and early announcements coming BEFORE E3 2016 itself. We get into all of those, give our thoughts, and also have some E3 2016 Predictions too.

We dive into the Watch Dogs 2 reveal, Deep Silver’s new “Agents of Mayhem” reveal, Square-Enix gave release dates for Kingdom Hearts 2.8, World of Final Fantasy, and that there will be more information on Kingdom Hearts 3 in the Winter.

Injustice 2 also got leaked and so did possibly all of Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference that happens on Sunday night as well. Persona 5 not coming West in 2016, Horizon: Zero Dawn delayed, Deus Ex Go and more. We have a few more days before we even hit the first conference, so who knows what else will get leaked by then.

On this episode of W2M, we have a pretty packed show. We discuss what the impact is of Brock returning to UFC on WWE. Could this set a precedent where UFC and WWE work together? Could WWE receive something in return from UFC, aside from just promotion for Summerslam? We also discuss how the result of the Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt fight could effect WWE as well.

There’s also some fallout from that, (which has seemingly been rectified right before going on-air) concerning Journalism ethics and how UFC is being more WWE, and less sport when it comes to handling the media. Who was right in this situation? Could WWE themselves learn something from this? Or should they continue to do what they do?

Sadly we also have to talk about bad news, as boxing legend and a man that had a great effect on pro-wrestling as a whole in Muhammad Ali passed away over the weekend. We discuss what he meant to wrestling and the world in general, also Kimbo Slice, who almost started in wrestling, passed away on Monday night due to a heart failure.

There’s also WWE RAW to talk about, we do a preview and predictions for NXT Takeover: The End, Sean discusses the two AAA Lucha Libre World Cup shows, plus ROH returns to action and we have the last part of the NJPW BOSJ tournament as well.
