RAT TRAP

Today we had the privilege of speaking with former wrestler & now current owner of Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett himself. I love everything there is about the Jarrett family, they have been in t he wrestling ring, promoting & ownership as well & they know what the fans like to see. Jeff left WCW where he had been Heavyweight Champion and created NWA wrestling and had a list of great superstars there & it eventually grew into the TNA wrestling organization where Jeff fourished with talent yet again.  Jeff finally took TNA as far as he felt he could and solf majority ownership to Dixie Carter & moved on and for a little while now he has been creating, scouting for & organizing events for his new brand Global Force Wrestling. I know a lot of the fans are getting beyond anxious but remember, Rome wasnt built in a day & neither will this. Let it happen people! Soon there will be a distribution package out there that will probably consist of TV deal, internet streaming and so on. In the mean time, keep up with their schedule & all it's happenings at the Global Force Wrestling website & look for them on all your social media platforms that you frequent. Please enjoy the podcast & share, comment & subscribe.

Anthony & Gartiz return with a brand new season of Faces for Radio. In the very first episode, the boys discuss FTBT (on accident), come up with a plan to hire some staff, and we hear about Gartiz's wrestling history, with a surprise guest. In the second half, Anthony discusses his battle with his bowels. If it sounds gross, wait until you hear it. ...

Jeff Jarrett is joining us today for an interview and we will be talking Global Force Wrestling with him as well as a cpl questions about his past time in wrestling including TNA... Jeff's family has always been a mainstay in professional wrestling whether it be in wrestling itself or promotion & ownership. Well, it has been a couple of days since WWE Payback 2016 and not a whole lot has happened. At least we do have a post-PPV RAW to cover and an update on when we could see Enzo Amore back on WWE TV as well.

We also have an interesting article, which has created a topic for us, discussing if TV ratings and casual fans really matter so much in the short-term or the long-term for WWE. Do the ratings truly affect WWE’s thoughts as much as they used to? If they do, should they? Is WWE preparing for life without USA Network with the WWE Network? We discuss these questions and more.

So, we start things with the last offering from WWE’s RAW

We discuss a few things going on in the wrestling news in Quick Hits concerning a contract dispute for RyBack, Enzo’s impact test, and a few other notes.

We finish things out with our topic about Casual Wrestling Fans and Ratings.

Former WCW wrestler The Maestro stepped IN THE ROOM last night with Brady Hicks and the gang to talk all about his career with the company that was then the top wrestling company in the world.

Check it out as The Maestro – legit one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet – talks being a part of WCW during its historic run … thoughts on Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo … his potential as a main-eventer and how WCW would often cancel big plans … his lineage as a descendant of “Gorgeous” George Wagner and competing as Gorgeous George III prior to Randy Savage’s girlfriend adopting the name … his vision for “Maestro” and working with music legend James Brown … working with Symphony (Alicia Webb, aka Ryan Shamrock) and who was originally considered for her role … and Bret Hart’s thoughts on Maestro using a harness for his entrance.

IN THE ROOM airs live Tuesday nights, 9 PM ET from the ITR Studios, courtesy of the VOC Nation Radio Network at vocnation.com andthebradyhicks.com, and WORLDWIDE over the NetCarrier nCloud. Call in to the show (855) VOC-RADIO. Thanks, as always, for the support.
