Linor Oren is a singer and voice teacher who knows what it is to go from 'I can't sing' to singing in a hall full of strangers. As a shy kid who didn't take her first singing lesson until she was 21, she graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and went on to study and perform in Germany. In 2017 she moved to the Netherlands, where she runs her voice studio and leads the Merry Poppins Musical Choir. Her teaching method blends vocal technique with bodywork and mental practice. Her forthcoming book, Sing Anyway, (due out May 2026) helps beginner singers find their voices and sing in front of others.

Artur Dotsiak, otherwise known as Arthur Kingford is a Ukrainian musician, composer, and educator currently based in the UK. Working at the intersection of classical and modern sound, Artur composes original works and plays instruments including piano, harpsichord, classical accordion, Ukrainian pipe, tambourine, and frame drum. Artur was a top-20 finalist at the Trophée Mondial de l’Accordéon and recipient of the Ukrainian Presidential Scholarship for Excellence in Music. Committed to fostering the next generation of musicians, he has taught over 2500 private lessons and his academic research contributes to the preservation and development of cultural traditions.

In this episode, Chris Rowbury shares the magic that happens when you get a bunch of people in a room to sing in harmony together. Chris first discovered the joys of unaccompanied harmony singing when working as a theatre performer in Cardiff. The company devised their own shows and often included amazing songs from Eastern Europe and beyond. You can't sing harmony on your own, so Chris looked around for a group to join.
