I’ll be reading from The Codex Sinaiticus, its based on one of the oldest Bible manuscripts in the world. The main verses that I will be reading are… Matthew 11:5, Luke 7:22, John 16:21, and I will read Isaiah 26:17-19 from another bible translation.

Isaiah 14, verses 12-15, and they go like this, "Look how you have fallen from the sky, O shining one, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, O conqueror of the nations! You said to yourself, “I will climb up to the sky. Above the stars of El I will set up my throne. I will rule on the mountain of assembly on the remote slopes of Zaphon. I will climb up to the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High!” But you were brought down to Sheol, to the remote slopes of the Pit."

Matthew, chapter 24, and it begins like this, “And going out, Jesus was departing from the temple, and his disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple, and he answered and said to them, ‘See you not all these things? Verily I say to you, there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be thrown down.’ And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately saying, ‘Tell us, what shall these things be and what sign of thy coming and of thy conclusion of the age?’”

Today I’m going to be reading from God’s Word translation. It’s a little different translation than I normally use, but that’s okay. I like to use various translations, get various feedback, and different perspectives, and views. We’re going to be talking about the virgin birth of Jesus. That’s what we’re going to be talking about today, so we’re going to be looking at what is it in reference to the cornerstone? Kind of odd, a cornerstone in Jesus. What is that all about?

So here we go. We have John Chapter 12: 37 to 40, and it goes like this. Although Jesus had performed so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe in him so that the word of Isaiah, the Prophet, would be fulfilled. He said, Lord who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For this reason they could not believe because again Isaiah said, he has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart and turn to me and I would heal them, and that was the reference to Isaiah 6: 9 and 10.

I want to look into Isaiah 5, and I’ll be reading from the New English Translation, the NET Bible, and I’m going to be referring to Verses 1, 2 – and it goes like this:

I’ve been looking at a little bit of Matthew, Mathew Chapter 4 to be specific, Verses 1 through 11.  And there’s been a lot of debate out there about fasting and what this passage says.  I don’t know if it’s debate, but it’s just a lot of myths maybe.  I don’t know.  We’ll take a look at that.
