In episode 63 of Voice in Education, Julie Daniel Davis interviews Kevin Elgan, creator and founder of Chatterbox. Kevin’s desire to introduce children to voice in a controlled environment is one I applaud. Chatterbox is a buildable kit that allows the customer to build, program, and understand the concepts of voice and voice design while keeping student privacy at the forefront.

In episode 58, Dr. Kimberly Elbakidze talks about her thoughts on voice from a computer science educators perspective. Kimberly attended Project Voice this year and not only sees the importance of preparing students with knowledge about the voice paradigm but also feels led to be a part of setting standards/ethics for the use of voice and its intersection with k12 education.

Episode 57 of Voice in Education with guest Michelle Melton. Michelle is a web designer/programmer at the Center for Academic Excellence at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Michelle shares her journey with creating an Alexa skill that integrates with the learning management system Moodle. Her vision and passion for seeing the advantages of adding voice to the educational technology that is already being used in the educational environment is inspiring and right in line with what I have always thought. I'm excited to see what Michelle and her team create in the future.
