In this episode, my good friend Grace and I discuss Carry On, a classic of the YA literature canon, and somehow also end up talking about bears. Yet again.
Note on 'bear isn't the original word for bear' comment: bear comes from a Proto-Indo-European word that was used as a euphemistic expression out of fear that saying the animal's true name would cause it to appear, but the original word has not been lost, it's 'arkto'.
