What’s in this note:Just a quick check-in about where my head’s at lately.I’ve been thinking about how astrology—for me—isn’t really the thing. It’s more like a tool I’d use inside something else.If I were a TCM practitioner, astrology would support that.But I’m a storyteller. A filmmaker. A writer.So astrology ends up being a tool for that kind of meaning-making.

Also, I almost talked about how love always invites conflict. That’s been sitting with me too—but not quite ready to come out yet. Maybe next time.

A line that’s been rattling around:

“Conflict should always be expected when love is on the table.”

Still turning that one over.

voice notes from an astrologer is a space for soft revelations and real-time reflections. I share these notes while I’m walking something out (often a frustration or puzzle), and hope to let you in on my thought processes. And maybe you’ll hear the birds on these walks with me!

In this little voice note, I ended up saying something that surprised me: “The more we accept our natures, the more we can accept other people’s natures, and that snowballs right to eventually world peace.”

I was kind of joking, kind of not. That’s how these things go: what starts as a half-formed thought turns into a moment of clarity (or at least curiosity). I talk about the pressure to be who we think we should be, and how real peace (maybe even global peace) might begin with simply letting ourselves be who we already are.

This one’s also a quiet contemplation on how our birth charts (especially placements that speak to motivation and pacing) can give us insight into our rhythms. The more we understand our innate tempo, the less we try to force ourselves into someone else’s speed or structure. There’s something deeply liberating about that.

Also, I think there was a rooster? But he stopped making noise after 9:45 a.m., so who’s to say. I’m in the city, but it felt like we were on an island for a second, and I loved that.

The luminaries are pulling the focus now. What are you being asked to acknowledge right now? Maybe there's a tool for you in your house ruled by Cancer.

This Saturday brings a Full Moon in Libra, and I’m thinking less about the signs the sun and the moon will be in or the other planets in play, and more about the essential qualities of a full moon: light. Where is the moon illuminating (what house? what quadrant?)? What is made available to be seen, felt, and integrated?

In this short voice note, I reflect on the movement of the planets. Their motion differs from the sun and moon; they slow down, speed up, and move retrograde. All of that adds subtle texture to what’s unfolding right now. But it is our luminaries that tell us what to focus on consciously and subconsciously at any given moment, and especially when the Full Moon creates an opposition to examine.

I also share a little bit about what’s stirring in my own chart. Just a glimmer. More than anything, I hope this note helps you tune into your own experience.
