This week we're voice noting about childhood anxiety, flying sharks, questionable Vinted packaging and a magpie that apparently decided to take my car down with it.

First things first, WE HAVE VIDEO! That's right, my team of one has made the executive decision to take Voice Notes with George into its full-video era. What could possibly go wrong?

After a little break from recording, we're catching up on life, Jonty's new job, my recent sad-girly-pop era and the very exciting return of a television to our household.

Then we're getting a little more personal. I'm opening up about my lifelong experience with anxiety, starting with the Disney dinosaur movie that sent six-year-old me into an existential crisis. From being convinced a shark could fly over our neighbour's fence and land in our swimming pool, to developing an intense fear of plane crashes, we're unpacking just how wild and genuinely frightening an anxious little brain can be.

I'm also sharing how therapy, medication and learning to recognise my anxious thoughts have helped me over the years. There's humour in some of these stories, but there's also a very real conversation about mental health.

And because apparently one serious conversation is my absolute limit, we're also discussing whether Vinted is becoming a SHEIN and Temu resale situation, the beaded bag that arrived wrapped in a KFC bag, and the unfortunate magpie encounter that's left my car throwing error messages at me.

This week we're voice noting about questionable airline rules, the lost art of plane etiquette, why being a little bit petty might actually be good for you, and the time I wee'd myself.

I'm taking you along for my whirlwind trip to Sydney, where Jetstar apparently decided toilets were optional, a stranger's thumbs-up healed my daddy issues, and I discovered that perhaps being a petty bitch isn't always a bad thing (TikTok told me so)

We're also unpacking my chronic people-pleasing tendencies, including the time I willingly ate something I absolutely despise because I couldn't bring myself to say no.

Plus, why does Spotlight make me feel physically unwell? Why do so many of you feel the same way? And how did my dream birthday present, a Costco membership, end with me standing at a petrol bowser pee'ing myself?

Oh, and somewhere amongst all of this, I've also managed to spiral into questioning whether I'm accidentally becoming a trad wife. But that little identity crisis deserves an episode of its own.

We chat about my thoughts on the girls this season, the storylines that seemed to disappear, who I think is a producer's absolute dream and the parts of the season that made me genuinely uncomfortable.

That leads us into a bigger conversation about reality television and the way toxic and abusive relationships have historically been packaged as entertainment. From Jersey Shore to the reality shows we're watching now, I have some THOUGHTS about producers using romantic edits, emotional music and will-they-won't-they storylines to make audiences root for relationships that we absolutely should not be rooting for.

And honestly, potentially my last because this was never meant to be a guest podcast, but I love him, you all love him and if we ever break up I am fairly certain most of you will choose him.

It's Jonty.

My should-be husband, father of my children and a man who apparently can go days without checking social media. I cannot relate.

In this very special little bonus voice note, we finally tell the story of how Jonty and I met, including the fact that we'd unknowingly been in the same room MANY times before actually meeting.

We also chat about our relationship, the very rare occasion Jonty and I bonded over mutually disliking someone, and what it's like being with a man who is somehow both incredibly patient and living on a completely different internet planet to me.

Jonty also opens up about living with tics and his experience with Tourette's. We chat about what a tic actually feels like, trying to suppress them, how they've changed throughout his life, the way Tourette's is represented in TV and movies, and how he'd feel if one of our kiddos experienced the same thing.

My Pit is getting a parking ticket while I was in hospital with my son, because apparently there was simply not enough happening that week.
