Since the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the first nationwide lockdown in March 2020, all educational institutions have practically shifted to the online mode. 

In this podcast, we discuss the struggles and the benefits of online classes on the lives of students. We talk to three kinds of persons affected by this shift - teachers, students, and parents.

বিগত বছর থেকে করোনা ভাইরাসের উপদ্রবের নাজেহাল গোটা বিশ্ব। এতদিন এই রোগের কোন ঔষধ আবিষ্কার করা যায়নি কিন্তু বর্তমানে এই রোগ প্রতিরোধ করার জন্য ভ্যাকসিন আবিষ্কার করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে ভারতবর্ষ সহ পৃথিবীর বেশ কিছু দেশ। বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার কথা অনুযায়ী পৃথিবীর প্রত্যেকটি মানুষেরই  ভ্যাকসিন নেওয়া অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ  কিন্তু এই ভ্যাকসিন নিতে গিয়ে মানুষ বেশ কিছু সমস্যার মুখোমুখি হচ্ছে, এখানে সেই সমস্যাগুলোর কথা তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।  

The whole world has been suffering from coronavirus since last year. So far no medicine has been found for this disease but at present time several countries of the world including India have been able to invent a vaccine to prevent this disease.  According to the WHO, it is important for everyone to get the vaccine as soon as possible, but there are a number of problems people face when it comes to getting the vaccine, primarily its shortage. These issues have been reviewed in this podcast.

বাংলাদেশে ফের বাড়ছে করোনা সংক্রমণ। মাত্র ৩ শতাংশ মানুষকে দেওয়া হয়েছে টিকা। টিকার জন্য রাশিয়া ও চীনের শরণাপন্ন হয়েছে বাংলাদেশ।  

The cases of Coronavirus infections have risen again in Bangladesh. What makes it more worrying is that only 3 percent of people have been vaccinated so far. As India stopped the supply of the vaccine assured earlier, Bangladesh is in talks with Russia and China for vaccines.

This podcast is on the shortage of blood supply in India amidst the Covid-19 pandemic as people are scared to venture out and there are also restrictions on movements. What makes the shortage severe is that due to the pandemic the demand has gone higher while supply has reduced considerably. I speak to two blood donors from Kolkata who regularly donate blood.
