What are we talking about today? What is on everybody’s mind, where are we going? Nigeria, where are we headed? I postulate you and I at the end of the day would determine where we are headed. People tell me at the end of the day, well, we sound like victims, as if politicians have hijacked the nation, like we have no choice, whoever they give to us we have to vote for. Well, this is what I say to that, yes we may not have a hand in the primaries especially if you have not registered, you are not a member of any party, you have elected not to be part of the process. But you can surely choose between the choices that are laid before us, we can choose the lesser evil, we have some measure of choice at the end of the day. No matter how little that measure of choice is, exercise it! Register now, make sure that your vote is counted, and protect your vote.
If we make up our mind that our voice will count, our voices would be the voices of change. When I say ask the right questions, I mean ‘you ask yourself the right questions’. Majority of politicians probably cannot be asked the right questions, there are a few good ones, but majority cannot be asked, they do not care. They are not in it for that, it’s for them an alternative job, they cannot do anything else, that’s what they have done all their lives. That’s they’re bread and butter, but we hope that is one type of politician in Nigeria that we hope would be history soon.
