Welcome everyone to Blog Talk Radio and the Voice of Change.  Today is the ending program is this current series, "What Makes Healing Possible?"  The conversation today will be centered around the use of movement and visualization by use of the mind for health, healing and well-being.    Although many teachings touch on the power of visualization and movement, it is the Teaching and Practice of QI GONG that brings all 4 of these together in one practice: VISUALIZATION, MOVEMENT, SOUND OR VIBRATION AND BREATH.  It has been discovered through the centuries by the Masters of Qi Gong, when you bring all of these aspects together, the results are even greater! Welcome everyone to Blog Talk Radio.  I'm Sharon Ann Wikoff and delighted to be with you for this program today.  Seeing that we can breathe on a regular basis we come to accept it as normal and most do not think much about this process.  And yet the breath is a very powerful aspect of our human body.  When you breathe you are sending very vital energy to your nervous system which is one of the most important systems in your body.  Long, slow and deep breaths allow more energy to be taken in and given to the organs.  The slower you breathe, the better.  In addition, you can actually use the breath to send healing energy to any part of your body. Hello Everyone!  Welcome to the Voice of Change.  Have you ever wondered what makes healing possible?  Over the last 2 weeks I've shared much about the amazing Teaching of Qi Gong.  With its 4,000 + year old history, it has gained a power and momentum that is truly extra-ordinary.  Today, I'll speak about the power of a Master.  In the field of Qi Gong, it appears that the title of "Master" is usually given to someone who has achieved a level of excellence in the field.  And it is usually bestowed on someone who already has excellence in the field.  So, it's Excellence recognizing Excellence.  There is a gift that is often passed on when one is in the presence of a Master.  The light that they carry is automatically passed on to you in varying degrees.  What a gift that is.  Before I knew this, I wondered why some of my friends would just go to be with their Teacher.  And it was because of this.  Also, if you are able to connect in a personal way with your Master, the benefits are even greater.  Tune in for this discussion today.

Although this has been a question in my mind for decades, I never understood the process until I began studying Qi Gong, especially Spring Forest Qi Gong and the Teachings of Master Chunyi Lin.   This study has led me to understand more and more about the possibilities of healing naturally with Qi Gong.  Today, I'll share what I have learned about Qi Gong, the history of this ancient practice and the power that I've found in doing the practice.  This is a vast field of study and I have much to learn.   However, my experience has been so profound, I feel compelled to share what I do know about it.  In today's world, I feel it is so important for people to know that such options are available for health, healing and well-being. I will share what I do know and offer some resources for exploration.

Welcome everyone to the Voice of Change.  I'm Sharon Ann Wikoff and delighted to be with you for this program.  What do you think is the ONE thing that you can easily do on a regular basis with a child, that can make a huge difference in the way he or she is in the world?  Some might say any of the following:  READING! PRAYING! SINGING!  TALKING!  TRIPS!  I could write SO much on this topic, however, this time around, I'm going to let you ponder the topic.  Tomorrow we'll discuss!  Have fun reflecting on this very important topic!  I've actually seen this ONE ACTIVITY, change the behavior of a child in less than 10 minutes numerous times!  These children have been my own and others in school or day camp settings.  This one activity can change their attitude, stop their stealing,  stop their bullying, shift their shyness and more.  Hope you'll tune in tomorrow for this conversation.

Today's program is centered around the real needs of children from birth to 18 and even beyone.    I invite you to reflect on this question and think of what it is you offer children, as parents or teachers, that is truly beneficial.   I invite YOU to come up with your top 5.  Through the years I've seen that I have been able to realize a few basic "principles for parenting/ teaching" and they easily applly to ALL AGES!  Thus, when a challenge arises one doesn't need to recreate the wheel so to speak, but go back to the same basic principles and apply them to the new situation.  During the program I will share my thoughts with you as well as insights from Deepak Chopra who also has written on this subject of the needs of children.

Today I'll be talking about the Art of Listening to Infants and Young Children.  Decades ago I was introduced to the amazing work of Dr. Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber, both pioneers in the fielf of deeply listening to infants and young children and hearing about their feelings, thoughts and ideas.  Although I had been around children are years, I learned so much for both of these ladies and their work.  Today, I'll be talking about listening to the infant, through their movements, body language and sounds.  When you learn to listen with your heart, you can even sense more of what they are attempting to communicate.  Join the conversation.  Feel free to connect with me at www.TheArtOfLivingLife.org
