Genesis 37-31-35--31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood---32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father- and said, This have we found- know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.--33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat- an evil beast hath devoured him- Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.--34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.--35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him- but he refused to be comforted- and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

Matthew 25-1-13-1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.-2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.-3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them--4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.-5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.-6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh- go ye out to meet him.-7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.-8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil- for our lamps are gone out.-9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so- lest there be not enough for us and you- but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.-10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came- and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage- and the door was shut.-11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.-12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.-13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Actis 28-1-6--1 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.-2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness- for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.-3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.-4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.-5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.-6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly- but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

Psalms 100-1-5--1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.-2 Serve the LORD with gladness- come before his presence with singing.-3 Know ye that the LORD he is God- it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves- we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.-4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise- be thankful unto him, and bless his name.-5 For the LORD is good- his mercy is everlasting- and his truth endureth to all generations.

Isaiah 9-6 --For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given- and the government shall be upon his shoulder- and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
