Today, we speak with WWE Superstar the Miz. Through Connor's Cure, WWE raises money and awareness to support pediatric cancer research that is funded through the V Foundation's grant-making process. The Miz has been a WWE Superstar for over a decade and is a former WWE champion. We chat about why Connor's Cure is such an important initiative to WWE, how he has joined forces with a well known actor to support it and his unbelievable path to becoming a WWE and television star.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and the V Foundation is committed to supporting breakthrough cancer research that can save more young lives. In this episode, we chat with three people who have had their lives changed by pediatric cancer: Angela Dilts, Scott Viands and Mikari Tarpley.

Today, we speak with legendary ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale. A V Foundation board member, Dick has spearheaded many initiatives to raise funds specifically for pediatric cancer research. Through a fund named for Dick, the V Foundation's awarded nearly $50 million in research grants. We talk about what it was like to be on stage with Jim Valvano during his famous ESPYs speech, why pediatric research became a focus for him and how his Dick Vitale Gala will look a little different in 2020.

Today, we speak with Marc Silverman. Marc is the cohost of Waddle & Silvy on ESPN Radio’s WMVP 1000 AM in Chicago. For years, Marc was a supporter of the V Foundation, raising money and awareness through his show each year around the ESPYS. It became more personal for him this year, when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for which he is undergoing treatment. We talk about the emotions of his diagnosis, why he chose to make his cancer journey public and how being a cancer patient during the COVID-19 pandemic adds an additional layer of stress.

Today, our guest is Scott Hamilton. Scott is an Olympic Gold Medal-winning figure skater, accomplished author and a three-time cancer survivor. Scott’s story is incredibly inspiring, and today we chat with him about how the trials and tribulations from early in his life helped power him through his cancer diagnoses later on. We also discuss his work as an outspoken activist supporting cancer research, and how focusing on the positive can get you through some dark times.

After the death of his beloved Aunt Pearl when he was just a child, Kevin Durant has made it his mission to make sure she was never forgotten. Throughout his career, he has worked tirelessly to support fundraising and awareness for cancer research, most notably through his Nike “Aunt Pearl” sneakers. Today, we chat with Kevin about why Aunt Pearl left such a lasting impression on him, why supporting cancer research and other charitable causes has been such a big part of his professional life, and how his close relationship with his Mom has shaped who he is today.

Today, our guest is Pittsburgh Steelers star defensive lineman Cam Heyward. Cam is a three-time Pro Bowler and has twice been selected as a first-team All Pro. His Dad, ‘IronHead’ Craig Heyward, was also a Pro Bowler in his 11-year NFL career. Unfortunately, Craig was diagnosed with cancer that ended his career at age 32. He eventually passed away at just 39 years old. Today, we chat with Cam about growing up with a Dad in the NFL, advice he’d give to anyone else with a parent going through cancer, and how his Dad’s passing motivated him to give back.

Today, our guest is Dr. Jamie Spangler. Dr. Spangler, of The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, who received a V Scholar grant from the V Foundation in 2018. Her lab is hard at work developing new therapeutics that will activate the immune system against cancer. Today, we talk with Dr. Spangler about the path that led her to the field of cancer research, why the research her team is working on is so exciting and where she sees cancer research heading in the future.
