I’m joined by Melbourne visual artist, performer and creative, Jessie Ngaio.

Jessie’s work lives in that delicious space where art gets a little weird, a little funny, a little provocative, and asks us to look at the world differently.

Jessie has created work exploring sexuality, identity, shame, pleasure, spirituality, vulnerability, clown archetypes and our complicated relationship with the world around us.

She has achieved 2 Green Room Awards nominations for Best Performer and best production including

her solo work Oh Yuck, It’s Me, in the Independent Theatre category.

Her latest project, Dirt Church, is making its debut at Melbourne Fringe, bringing together experimental theatre, ecosexual video art, spoken-word poetry, & comedic songs.

Her work asks some pretty big questions, but she doesn’t necessarily approach them without humour, clowning around , sexuality, vulnerability and plenty of room to question the rules we’ve inherited about who we’re supposed to be.

So today, we’re talking about finding your creative voice, embracing the weird parts of yourself, pleasure, shame, art as a form of connection, and what happens when you stop trying to fit neatly into the box.

Then, when I was faced with some necessary healing with my Dad’s passing, I trusted her to lead me into a space I could hold forever as a gateway to peace and sincerity. And if you know me, you know what an important job that could be. 😊

💞 We did drawing and masterfully guided pastel imprints. It was a treasured experience.

Tegan took a break from social media for a while to focus on her studio in Ballarat and now she’s transforming again to work more online.

Tegan’s own journey has shown her the powerful role creative expression can play in reconnecting us with our inner voice. Through her work, she invites people to explore what lives beneath the surface, sometimes through words, sometimes through art, and sometimes through simply allowing something within us to emerge.

In our conversation, we explore the spiral of self-discovery, how we can feel we’ve found ourselves only to become lost again when life shifts beneath our feet, and how each return can bring us deeper wisdom.

The business story as much as the spiritual side. Jess, together with Raeven and Paige built Witchcentric.

And have already grown enough to move from their smaller venue into the larger Geelong West Town Hall with almost 40 vendors due to demand.

The atmosphere is designed to be welcoming whether you’re an experienced practitioner, spiritually curious, or simply enjoy fantasy, gothic, and mystical art.

Jess is a value-driven organiser. The event also supported a local cause, raising $3,000 with ticket proceeds from most recently in May 2026 helping the Bats of Geelong Wildlife Shelter, showing that giving back is part of the Witchccentric ethos.
