Fred Gomes is the Director/Outreach Coordinator of the Bridging the Gap Program as well as an Instructor. Bridging the Gap is dedicated to empowering at-risk and court involved youth in Boston.

Fred is using his voice to help our young people develop life skills, further their education, navigate the court system and more.

Joelle Jean-Fontaine is a fashion designer who uses her Haitian heritage as inspiration for her I am Kreyol clothing line. Joelle is using her voice in fashion as a catalyst for change and empowerment.

Tina Chery is the founder, President, and CEO of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. With over two decades of experience as a survivor serving families impacted by murder, Chaplain Chéry has developed the best practices in the field of homicide response.

Tina is using her voice to transform society’s response to homicide so that all families are treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of the circumstances.

Nic is a writer whose debut Young Adult Novel Dear Martin was one of the most anticipated YA books of 2017. It’s said to be part of the growing group of YA books exploring racial injustice and police brutality. Dear Martin debuted at #4 on the NY Times Bestseller List for Young Adults.

Dutch ReBelle is a Boston hip-hop artist who was born in Haiti and raised in the Boston area. She’s won numerous awards including the Boston Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Artist and is nominated this year for Music Video of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year.

Christopher Chaun was born and raised in Boston. His story is one of embracing the journey, patience in waiting for the right time and opportunity, and learning through tough times. His luxury line of bow ties has ended up on celebrities like Beyonce, actor Kal Pen and many more. Not bad for a man whose day job is cleaning his church.

Chris' voice is one of persistence, creativity and faith.
