On this episode of Voix d'amis, Opeyemi took us on the genesis of his American journey. We spoke about what "Japa" means, and his take on the phenomenon. The just concluded presidential election in Nigeria also made the list of the topics we discussed. Fatherhood, faith and family is important to me, and I know how important that is to Opeyemi too, so I really wanted to hear his perspective on it. This was more of a personal podcast, we got familiar with my friend Lady P. She told us about her experience as a 17 year old international student, about 6000 miles away from family and friends, and how she found a solace in her Church community. Her passion for Medicine, and the state of medical science in Nigeria, and we also touched on what she hopes to achieve with her education. How she came to faith, and how she has been able to sustain her faith even beyond the watching eyes of her parents. In light of recent news about Covid-19 vaccine, I decided to ask a Doctor about some of the common hesitancy concerns beyond the politicization of this vaccine. Her presentations which was facilitated by the Church I attend, was what kept me informed about the vaccine and calmed my prior hesitations, today's podcast is informative as usual, listen and let me know what you think.
