我不像红宝石那么珍贵，

也不会为你准备晚餐；

只有那些可爱的傻瓜，

才会认为我无罪可言。

我不如晨光金黄耀眼，

也不如神或魔骄傲非凡；

修道院不会让我停留，

狂欢也绝非我的浪漫。

我不会带给你悲伤，

只有笑声陪你流浪；

从黄昏 直到明日晨光，

我们的爱 越走越荒唐。

抛开你那美德的醉意，

若你愿意与我相随，

跟随吉普赛的脚步吧，

浪迹天涯，追逐无畏。

Second Gypsy’s Song

I am not more precious than rubies,

I cannot cook you a dinner,

And only adorable boobies

Could think me less than a sinner;

I am not as gold as the morning

Nor as proud as God or the Devil;

Nor am I fit for adorning

A nunnery or a revel.

I cannot give you sorrow,

I only give you laughter;

From sunset till tomorrow

Our love grows daft and dafter;

With your virtuous notions a-tipsy,

To have me for your lover,

You’ll merrily follow the gypsy

The wanton world over.
