第0回は今年の黄金町バザール参加アーティストのキム・ホビンにインタビューしました。彼はいろんなルーツを持ち、コミュニケーション能力が異常に高い人です。韓国で生まれ、日本、韓国を経て、9歳の時アメリカに移住。高校生の時から中国との縁ができ、5年間中国で暮らしました。母語は英語で、韓国語もほぼ母語レベル、中国語も上手ですが、日本語はあまり得意ではないです。私たち（日本人、日本在住の中国人）との共通言語は英語だけなので、英語の会になってしまいました。黄金町で感じたこと、自分の経験、そしてアートへ辿り着くまでの経緯をなどをホビンさんはゆっくり語ってくれました。彼に感謝しています。この会は99％がホビンの力で、私たちも何もわからないままこのポッドキャストをやりはじめました。その無謀さも、黄金町にピッタリだと思います。

For Episode 0, we interviewed Ho Bin Kim, one of this year’s Koganecho Bazaar participating artists.

He has a diverse roots and an unusually high ability to connect with people. Born in Korea, he spent his childhood in Japan and Korea before moving to the United States at age 9. In high school, he found his interest in China and ended up living there for five years during university. English is his first language, his Korean is almost native, his Chinese is absolutely fluent, but his Japanese is gone. Since our only common language (between us—Japanese and Chinese lives in Japan) is English, we had to talk in English at this very first episode.

He spoke thoughtfully about his impressions of Koganecho, his experience, and how he found his way to art. We’re very grateful to him. Honestly, 99% of this episode came from Hobin’s energy. We started this podcast without a clear idea of what we were doing. But that recklessness feels perfectly in tune with the spirit of Koganecho.
