Hey everybody, it's Ariannita la Gringa, and welcome back to my YouTube channel. In today's video, we are going to learn English at the beach.

The first thing you do when you arrive at the beach is you pick a spot. You can rent an umbrella or a beach chair, or you can just pick a spot anywhere on the sand and place your towel, your umbrella, or a chair.

Right now it's 9:00 AM and I want to rent an umbrella and a beach chair. "How much is it?"

Right now it's 9:00 a.m. in the morning. So, if I rent a beach umbrella with two chairs, that'll cost $40. That's pretty expensive! And if I want the deluxe cabana with two chairs, that'll cost $50. If you thought that one was expensive, well, if you look below, the price keeps going up. A luxury bed with a deluxe cabana costs $80. Would you guys pay $80 for that? Let me know down below.

But if you come to the beach after 3:00 p.m., the prices are cheaper, but you can only use the chairs and the umbrella for 2 hours.

This is a beach umbrella. An umbrella provides you shade from the sun. I am in the shade. I am in the sun. And this is a beach chair. It's much more comfortable than sitting or standing on the hot sand.

Now, let's see what I brought to the beach. These are the essentials that you will need if you're going to be by the ocean or by the sea. Let's check!

I brought a bathing suit, but this is called a bikini. It's a two-piece bathing suit. I also brought a hat because a hat will provide shade to my face and it'll prevent me from getting burnt by the sun. The most important thing you need to bring to the beach is sunscreen or sunblock. You put this on your skin to protect yourself from the UV rays from the sun. And of course, I brought myself some water. But to prevent this from getting warm, I'm going to put it in my cooler. This is a cooler. And I have all of my drinks inside. And of course, I brought a beach towel. This is a towel. It'll help me dry my skin after being in the water.

Now, let's explore the beach itself. I am at Clearwater Beach in sunny Florida. And let's test the water to see if it's warm or cold. Wow, the water is nice and warm! It almost feels like bath water.

This part is called the shallow area or the shallow part. But if I keep walking further over there, that is the deep end. If you don't know how to swim, you can bring an inflatable tube like the kid over there is using, or you can call that a floaty. If you were a little kid, maybe 2 to 4 years old, you might use a floaty. You'll have two floaties on both arms, and that way you'll float in the water. Since I already know how to swim, I don't need to use floaties.

This part of the beach is called the shore. But if I keep walking further away from the water, I will walk on top of seashells. Yes, these are seashells, and they're a bit uncomfortable to walk on.

Talking about seashells, do you know this famous tongue twister in English? "Sally sells seashells by the seashore. Sally sells seashells by the seashore. Sally sells seashells by the seashore."

Now, what's the difference between an ocean and a sea? An ocean is a large body of saltwater like the Atlantic Ocean. But a sea is also a large body of saltwater, but it's normally surrounded by land like the Mediterranean Sea. Clearwater Beach is on the Gulf of Mexico, which is part of the larger Atlantic Ocean, but they actually changed the name of this Gulf from the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. But I personally like to still call it the Gulf of Mexico because I grew up with that. What would you call that? The Gulf of Mexico or the Gulf of America? Let me know down below.
