Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder

Once there was a small gentle flower growing quietly in the tall grass. It wasn't big or colorful like the other flowers, so most people walked past it without seeing. But one day, someone stopped to look closely. They noticed the soft petals and smelled its sweet scent. It wasn't bright or showy, but it was special in its own way. The flower was still beautiful even if no one noticed. It was beautiful just as it was, without trying to be something else. Human beauty is like this too.

What do you think about the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? It's not just about love or how people look at each other; it means much more than that. Many people think beauty is only what we see on the outside. They believe beauty means perfect skin, shiny hair, or looking like people in magazines. But this way of thinking only sees the outside, like looking at the top of the ocean and missing what's deep below. Real beauty is more than what we see; it comes from who we are inside. It's not about being perfect; it's about being kind, warm, and making others feel good.

When we only care about looks, we miss the real beauty inside. Someone might have a pretty face, but if they aren't kind, their beauty fades. On the other hand, a kind person, someone who listens and cares about others, becomes more beautiful over time. This kind of beauty doesn't need perfect skin or clothes; it comes from inside and shines brighter than anything outside. Just like the small flower, beauty doesn't need to be big or loud to be real.

People around the world see beauty in different ways. What one culture thinks is beautiful might not be the same in another. In some countries, people think light skin is beautiful, while in others, darker skin is seen as healthy and attractive. Some people like long hair, while others prefer short hair. Ideas of beauty change depending on where you are and what people think. A long time ago in ancient Greece, a larger body was seen as beautiful because it showed you had enough food and were healthy. But today, in some places, people think being thin is more attractive. Even in the same country, ideas about beauty can change. What was popular 50 years ago might be different now, and what people find beautiful today might change again in the future.
