  • Review – Enemy … of Dudedom

With Special Guest Enemy Devin Faraci!
This week one of us is an actor, one of us is a college professor, we may all be spiders, and we’re reviewing Denis Villeneuve and Jake Gyllenhaal’s latest collaboration, Enemy. Badass Digest’s Devin Faraci joins us for a conversation about the moody, brain-twisting and effectively scary film, while also helping us wonder if it has anything actually interesting to say about the biggest problem facing us all: being a dude in these modern times.

  • 013 – Four Adults Complain About A Celebrity Selfie Pizza Party

Four different opinions, one epic segment.

This week, Katey, Patches, David and Da7e are still winding down from Oscar Season and have decided to devote the entire show to critiquing the 2014 Academy Awards Telecast and a few Oscar recipients, so they can reunite and celebrate and even do some bets in the baccarat online, so everyone could have some fun. Each of the four bring a gripe for discussion and many an offensive tangent is explored from the social etiquette of selfless to a scolding for laughing at the dyslexic. Oh, also 12 Years A Slave begs the question if awarding Best Picture to race films dilute their reception. Hoo boy!

  • Review – Vacancy At The Grand Budapest Manger

Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel and God’s Son of God!
This week we travel to the East, from Europe’s Republic of Zubrowka to the promised land of Jerusalem. First, Katey, Patches, and David give an early view of Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel, a film that might rank among the director’s best. Then FITWR-regular Jordan Hoffman prays movie-going audiences will avoid Son of God, an adaptation of History Channel’s Bible mini-series that chronicles the life of the the late Jesus F. Christ. Plus, we hijack your lighting round answers on film’s best hijackings.

    Plus Harold Ramis, RIP.

This week, Katey, Patches and Da7e have many bones to pick after spending some time talking about Harold Ramis and his legacy. Then, Patches has discovered the embarrassing secret behind Son of God and the four hosts dig into a recent Salon article that suggests there might be too many independent films proliferating the market. • Review – The Rising Wind is Filled with Airplanes and Volcanic Ash

A Pompeii and The Wind Rises Double Header!
This week is ripe with adventure as Katey and Patches grab their swords, slip on their sandals and scale Pompeii, the latest blockbuster from vulgar auteurist Paul W.S. Anderson. Then, after hinting at talking about it for months, Patches and David finally discuss Hayao Miyazaki’s final film The Wind Rises. Does the English version do justice to the Japanese original? It’s certainly not a disaster, like the movies you picked for this week’s lighting round.

  • 010 – This Bechdel Test Podcast Doesn’t Pass It

Plus David From The Berlin Film Festival!

This week, Katey, Patches and Da7e have heard your cries for more trivia and deliver in a Katey-moderated Patches Vs. Da7e mini-showdown. Elsewhere in the world, David is attending a film festival, The Berlin Film Festival! Possibly with a bag over his head, the not-famous-anymore David will give us a lowdown. Back in NYC, Katey was on a panel discussing the Bechdel Test for movies (two named women characters who talk about something other than a man), if it can be useful or should be discarded as outdated. Patches and Da7e manage not to embarrass their gender too badly.
