On this episode of the Vørtice Podcast I have the honor of introducing my big friend Rods Franchin.

Rods was born in São Paulo and built his career within the undergroud scene, today he is based in Barcelona and recorded this set especially for Vørtice at the Garage 442 club in Barcelona.

Rods Franchin actively participated in the propagation of electronic music in the suburbs of his city, strengthening the local scene. Rods was gaining space and recognition, and, from a local DJ he started to perform throughout his country and abroad.

DJing is an art, it's a passion and Rods always wants to give his best with a commitment to building synergy with the dancefloor making each performance unique.

Over 20 years of career, there were countless, presentations, among them in iconics clubs on the world stage, including D-Edge (Brazil), Rock's Club (Portugal), Macarena Club (Spain), Club Jeròme (Brazil), Le Batofar (France), Orange Club (Croatia), Opium Rooms (Ireland), Zul Club (Spain), Lov.e Club (Brazil), Pacha (Brazil), Trafik (England), La Terrazza (Spain), Nachtterrasse (Germany), Hard Club (Portugal), Teatro Alameda (Chile), among other clubs and parties and festivals.

With a lot of love, Rods Franchin, shows his talent around the world, with his productions and DJ Sets ranging from house to techno.

In the second edition of the Vørtice Podcast, we invited Underbeat, an artist from São Paulo who lived in Dublin, Ireland, with a set that brings a mixture of melodic techno and minimal techno.

About Underbeat

Marcelo Underbeat, DJ, Brazilian/Italian, born in São Paulo, audiovisual artist, he began his career at the end of 80’s, influenced by Kraftwerk, Disco and Funk Music.

In the 90’s he performed in several clubs in São Paulo - Brazil, among them, the party he produced stands out, which absorbed his artistic name: Underbeat (97 - 2000 - São Paulo - Brazil)

From the year 2000, he was a resident

of Club A for 8 years.

In his presentations, he stands out for his technique and interactivity with the peoples.

The DJ and producer Ramalho aka RMLH, born and raised in the east side of the city of São Paulo, started his career influenced by the underground scene between the 90s and 2000s, at the time it was normal for the DJ to perform playing different musical styles and starting from the jungle, passing through techno and even trance, performed in several national clubs and festivals, influencing and participating in the growth of open air parties in Brazil.

With his own style, he has always shown versatility, mastery and technique in his mixes, however, he also collaborates for the development of the electronic scene outside the dancefloor.

In 2009, he created DJ SIDE TV, an internet program focused on the DJ culture, at the time the project reached the second place in the Best of the Year award in the Best Internet Program category of the renowned DJ MAG BRASIL magazine, the project influenced the beginning of Lives DJs and Video Sets in the country, with the artists performing live on the internet. In the same year, he was part of the select team of the Clash Club and was responsible for the production of all audiovisual content for the club, including the launch of Clash TV.

In 2011 he directed @djban.emc at that time, the largest channel focused on digital content for the electronic music scene, a channel belonging to the renowned electronic music center @djban.emc.

It was in 2015 that he decided to produce his own music, studying and specializing. Today, he has been dedicating himself exclusively to the production of Techno and its aspects, with a focus on Melodic Techno.
