The topic of creation and the issue of evolution are often topics that cause a lot of grief in the Christian community, but is it really worth the fight. This week we look at John 1:3, and its connection to Genesis 1. What if these arguments entirely miss the point that God, and in this case, John are trying to get across?

This week we begin our new series on the Gospel of John, and we get started by wrestling with strange concept of the Trinity. The truth is, that this concept is not a "clear" teaching of scripture, but rather a manmade doctrine created to make sense of the strange way the scriptures talk about the three-in-oneness of God. It's a fun and exciting verse, and a lot of preachers like to use it to get us pumped up and ready to change the world, but what if it's being used out of context? What if Paul had different ideas in mind when he wrote it? This week we break down the verse and see if we might have it backwards sometimes.
