This summer, VOX ATL facilitated a Podcasting 101 workshop with Georgia State University's Project Healthy Grandparents, giving participants the chance to explore media-making while also experiencing a college campus.

VOX ATL visits Los Niños Primero to talk with teens about growing up as children of immigrants — how immigration reshaped their families, the weight they carry, and what it takes to build a life in a country that rarely acknowledges their hardships.

VOX ATL collaborated with Claratel Behavioral Health and the DeKalb Juvenile Court’s Rebound Program to share the stories of teens who are committed to learning from and growing beyond their past actions.

VOX ATL teamed up with the Centre for Sport and Human Rights' Generation 2026 Youth Leadership Council to capture Atlanta teens' thoughts about the 2026 FIFA World Cup at ATL SoccerFest, and we were fortunate to have a sit-down with Mayor Andre Dickens.

Here, Mayor Dickens speaks with Destiny-Joy Sagay from Generation 2026 about FIFA's impact on the city and how events like SoccerFest align with his administration's goal of providing positive community engagement activities for teens.

In the podcast "Mental Health: Not One Size Fits All," the host Isha explores barriers that many minority youth face when seeking mental health support. Through conversations with Emory mental health specialist Akin Griffin and Stanford teen advocate Krisha Singhani, she explores disparities in access to mental health care, the impact of stigma and other misconceptions within therapy treatments, and ways to create more accessible and equitable mental health support for all young people.

In this podcast, Kaden speaks about how the city has impacted hip-hop culture and how hip-hop affects teens in the city. Throughout the podcast, Kaden Interviews two guests about how music affects decision-making, how teens view themselves and the world around them, as well as how the city of Atlanta changed the cultural scene of hip-hop and pop culture as a whole.

In this episode, Kevin speaks about teenagers involving themselves in gangs. including recent incidents and statistics from 11Alive, WSB-TV Atlanta, and the Office of the Attorney General, Kevin addresses the violence and the harm of teens joining gangs in Atlanta, Georgia, including a recent shooting in Cobb County. This podcast includes an interview with Cameron Jenkins, a person that is writing an article about how social media promotes teen violence. The conversation shows what influences teens to join gangs and how it impacts the Atlanta community.

Teens Morgan and Bella will discuss how being dress-coded can negatively impact young women and how to fix it.

SheSoars! is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental health equity by empowering youth, especially female-identifying individuals, to lead culturally responsive wellness initiatives promoting community transformation.

This year, SheSoars partnered with VOX ATL for teen-led media coverage at their 2026 Teen Health Summit in partnership with The National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Teen girls from across Metro Atlanta gathered for informative workshops on digital media literacy, creativity, and wellness. VOX Teens and NearPeers supported teens as they expressed themselves walking the red carpet, recorded an on-carpet interview, and discussed stress and positive ways teen girls address mental health challenges.

VOX ATL connected with a thoughtful team of high school students from Asheville, NC, who lead racial equity work in their district through the REAP program. Co-created in 2020, in collaboration with Asheville City Schools and The Equity Collaborative, REAP students expressed interest in VOX ATL's mission and sought an opportunity to connect with Atlanta teens doing their own meaningful work as part of their Spring 2026 Freedom Ride Experience. As part of that experience, VOX ATL and REAP produced this podcast.
