The problem that the crew finds themselves in is just a set piece. This episode is all about the people, their relationships, feelings, emotions, and romantic interests. Don't think that it isn't a great episode though. Neelix goes from rage-quitting to being the self-appointed morale officer, and Janeway grapples with what it means to be the captain under these circumstances. We're first introduced to the holodeck in this episode also, as Paris shows off his getaway bar in Marselle.
